Terms of Service
Last updated: 11th March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Crontify ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Crontify.
2. Description of Service
Crontify is a cron job and scheduled task monitoring service. We provide tools to detect when scheduled jobs miss their expected execution windows, hang indefinitely, or report failure. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with a free tier available.
3. Account Registration
You must provide a valid email address and maintain the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You may not create accounts for the purpose of abuse, spam, or circumventing plan limits.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit malicious code or interfere with the Service's infrastructure
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission
- Use the Service to monitor systems you do not own or have authorization to monitor
5. Subscription, Billing, and Refunds
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to registered users.
You may request a full refund within 14 days of any payment, for any reason. To request a refund, contact us at support@crontify.com with your order details. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days and returned to your original payment method.
6. Service Availability
We target 99.9% monthly uptime for the Crontify platform. This target excludes scheduled maintenance windows, which we will announce via email at least 24 hours in advance where operationally feasible.
Crontify is a monitoring and alerting tool. A period of Crontify unavailability does not cause your scheduled jobs to fail — your jobs run on your own infrastructure independently of this Service. Unavailability of the Service means that pings received during that period may not be processed, and alerts may not be delivered. We are not liable for any downstream consequences of missed pings or undelivered alerts during service interruptions.
Alert delivery depends on third-party channels (email providers, Slack, Discord, and webhook endpoints). We do not guarantee delivery through third-party systems and are not liable for failures, delays, or filtering by those systems.
7. Data and Privacy
We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data to third parties. We store job run metadata (timing, status, error messages) and, where you explicitly attach it to a ping, plain-text log output from your jobs. You retain ownership of all data associated with your account.
8. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are available within 14 days of any payment as described in Section 5.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Crontify and its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of revenue, profits, or business opportunities;
- Losses arising from missed, delayed, or undelivered alerts;
- Losses arising from undetected job failures or silent failures;
- Loss or corruption of data;
- Costs of substitute services.
Crontify is a monitoring and notification tool. It does not execute, control, or guarantee the outcome of your scheduled jobs. You are solely responsible for ensuring your jobs run correctly and for maintaining independent safeguards appropriate to your use case.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain types of damages, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. In all cases, our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to this Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Crontify in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
